How It Works

A straightforward process, from first enquiry to final handover.

We take time to understand the records you have, the work you need and the output you expect. The scope, fee and delivery arrangements are agreed before the assignment begins.

A Clear Starting Point
AGREED WORK, CLEAR EXPECTATIONS

Every assignment begins with understanding what is required.

Bookkeeping and accountancy support can involve different records, reporting periods and outputs. We establish the details before confirming how the work will proceed.

This helps clarify what is included, which information needs to be supplied, how questions will be handled and when the agreed work is expected to be delivered.

The process below explains the usual stages. The exact requirements depend on the service selected and the arrangement confirmed for your assignment.

The Process

Five steps to an organised handover.

Each stage helps establish what is needed, what will be prepared and what happens next.

01ENQUIRE

Tell us about your requirements

Contact us with a brief description of your organisation, the type of bookkeeping or financial record support you need and the period involved.

Helpful at this stage

A general description of the task, the main issue you want to address and any relevant deadline.

02AGREE

Confirm the scope, fee and timing

We clarify the work requested, the expected deliverables, the records required, the fee and the proposed timeframe before the assignment proceeds.

What gets clarified

Included tasks, exclusions, delivery format, communication arrangements and any applicable start conditions.

03PROVIDE

Supply the agreed information

Provide the statements, invoices, receipts, existing bookkeeping files or other records relevant to the agreed task. We may ask for clarification if information is incomplete.

Before work begins

The required information must be received and the agreed starting conditions must be met. The delivery timeframe is confirmed in the service arrangement.

04PREPARE

Work through the agreed records

We carry out the agreed bookkeeping, record organisation, preparation or summary work. If an issue affects the task, we may contact you for further details.

Your part

Respond to reasonable information requests and let us know if relevant circumstances or instructions change.

05HANDOVER

Receive the agreed output

We provide the agreed records, schedules, summaries or checklist using the confirmed delivery method. Any included clarification or follow-up is handled according to the agreed scope.

At completion

You receive the specified deliverables and any identified outstanding questions or items requiring further information.

Getting Ready

A little preparation can make the process smoother.

You do not need to send every possible document before making an enquiry. Start by describing the task. We can then confirm which records are relevant to the agreed work.

The documents required will vary depending on the service and reporting period.

↗

Bank and transaction records

Relevant bank statements, transaction listings and payment records where required for the assignment.

↗

Invoices and receipts

Sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts and other supporting documents relevant to the work.

↗

Existing bookkeeping files

Available spreadsheets, bookkeeping exports or existing records that relate to the requested period.

↗

Reporting period and instructions

The dates covered, the intended purpose of the work and any relevant requirements already communicated to you.

Please share only information relevant to your enquiry and the agreed service. We will explain what is needed and how it should be supplied.

Working Together

A clear understanding on both sides.

The process works best when the requested work is defined and the relevant information is available.

YOUR PART 01
  • Explain the task and the reporting period involved.
  • Supply accurate records and supporting documents relevant to the agreed work.
  • Respond to questions where additional details are needed.
  • Review the agreed deliverables and raise any relevant questions within the agreed follow-up arrangements.
OUR PART 02
  • Clarify the work, expected output, fee and proposed delivery timeframe before starting.
  • Explain which records are required for the agreed task.
  • Carry out the agreed work using the information supplied.
  • Identify relevant missing information or questions and provide the agreed output through the confirmed delivery method.

Delivery & Follow-up

Know what you will receive and when to expect it.

Before work begins, the expected deliverables and delivery timeframe are agreed for the specific assignment. Timing may depend on the volume and condition of the records and whether further information is required.

01

Format: The agreed records, schedules, summaries or checklists are provided in the confirmed format.

02

Method: The delivery method, such as email or another agreed arrangement, is confirmed before the work starts.

03

Questions: Where clarification is included, its scope and arrangements are agreed as part of the service.

04

Changes: If additional work is requested, any revised fee and timeframe are discussed before the extra work proceeds.

Important Details

What to understand before proceeding.

Clear service boundaries help avoid different expectations about the work being undertaken.

01

Work is based on supplied information. Missing, inconsistent or unclear records may require clarification and can affect the agreed timetable.

02

Additional tasks are not automatically included. Work beyond the original scope must be discussed and agreed separately, including any extra fee.

03

Formal filing is not assumed. Statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT return submission or filing with an authority are included only where expressly agreed and appropriate to the service.

04

Fees and cancellation terms apply. The relevant service terms and cancellation or refund policy should be reviewed before entering into an agreement.
